There aren’t many more summer weekends to go now, so no doubt like us, you’re planning to make the most of them. Hopefully the London Dog Events Agenda for 14-16 September will have arrived just in time, with another action-packed agenda of walks, dog shows and pup-ups galore.
Our pick of the pack this week is actually not a London dog event but a ‘not far from London’ dog event. This has to be the end of season Saltdean Lido Dog Swim (near Brighton) where dogs take over the Saltdean Lido to splash around to their heart’s content, as featured on the blog back in August. A second round of tickets were recently released, which means that there are still a few spots remaining for the dog swim this weekend believe it or not.
If you don’t fancy a trip out of London then don’t worry, there is loads going on in town to keep London doggos entertained.

If you see something on the London Dog Events Agenda for 14-16 September that takes your fancy, then the event links below will tell you all you need to know…

Event Details
London based hound and human lifestyle brand FETCH & FOLLOW is set to bring dogs, design and art together with a
concept pop up store, Dogs + Design by Fetch & Follow in Shoreditch, when the London Design Festival opens across the city.
Situated on design haven’s Redchurch Street and open from the 14th to 23rd September, the Dogs + Design by Fetch & Follow pop-up will be anything but your average ‘pet shop’ and is aimed at catering to discerning urbanites, whose dog enjoys a lifestyle that is an extension of their own. While Dogs + Design by Fetch & Follow is not part of the official London Design Festival programme, this concept dog shop will sit in the heart of the Shoreditch Design Triangle and promises pet-themed features, which play into the celebration and promotion of London. as the design capital of the world. Features of the Dogs + Design by Fetch & Follow pop up include:
Dog Art Postcard Wall: celebrating all things dogs and in association with contemporary dog-centric magazine Four &
Sons, the wall will exhibit the creative work of 50 different artists to help raise money and awareness for the WECare Sri
Lanka charity that helps care for Sri Lankan street dogs. From photography from the likes of interior-loving Nicole England
of @Resident.dog and personality-capturing @thegregmurray to illustrators Walter Glassof of @walter_dogs and
@susumukamijo, there will be something to appeal to all kinds of dog and design lovers. A complete book of all postcards
will be available to purchase with profits of each sale being donated to the charity. Visitors will also be encouraged to take
postcards of their choice in exchange for a token donation.
‘Kong’ Concept Lights: Fetch & Follow has teamed up with furniture designer Dean Edmonds and dog toy company Kong to fashion the famous ‘tough’ dog toy into a playful piece of lighting for the home. Available to purchase in%store from £95, the design uses a XXL Kong in a choice of black, red or blue for the base, with a simple bulb top for a minimal look for a dog lover’s home. Continuing the Kong theme throughout the store is an installation utilising toys of all sizes and colours, as well as wall hooks made from Puppy Kongs.
Curated pet accessories and apparel: Fetch & Follow’s signature, hard-wearing, contemporary dog collars and leads will also be on sale, alongside a considered edit to the brand’s functional yet stylish dog coats and sweatshirts, which brings joy to wrapping up your dog. A charismatic topiary floral dog will stand outside the shop to welcome visitors.
Dogs + Design by Fetch & Follow comes at an exciting time as Fetch & Follow are now the proud, official pet partner for The Hoxton Hotel in the UK and Europe, as the group goes dog-friendly. Four-legged visitors will be offered the use of the brand’s collars, leads and beds during their stay.
September 16 also sees the launch of Fetch & Follow’s new Walk & Talks series, bringing together pet owners with a different expert for a dog-friendly walk in varying spots across the capital. The inaugural walk will take place in East London’s Victoria Park with a trained dog groomer, who will be on hand to answer any questions about how the change in season can affect your dog’s fur and how to best care for it. The walks are also an opportunity to try before you buy with Fetch & Follow’s pet accessories and apparel, so you know your dog is happy and comfy in a purchase. Lasting for one hour, a maximum of 12 dogs and their owners will get together for an intimate walk and each owner will receive a Fetch and Follow Doggie Bag themed to the walk. The event is free to attend but there are a limited amount of spaces available. The walks are currently FREE and based on first come first served basis. To apply to attend the walk, email woof@fetchandfollow.com.

About the Bermondsey Street Festival and Bermondsey Street Festival Dog Show
Twelve years ago this September a dog collar shop and a couple of restaurants got together in Tanner Street Park for a Dog Show and a Maypole, they had a band on the back of a truck.
They grew to take over two parks and a street with over 12000 visitors, the very best food from restaurants in the area and a home grown south London Music stage. A truly local event that reaches out to the diversity of Bermondsey Street and the immediate area.
