Sometimes you forget about the amazing things that are on your doorstep. So this month we’ve been making an effort to re-discover some of those places. It is walk your dog month after all…
The London Peace Pagoda – Battersea Park
London’s only Peace Pagoda is in Battersea Park, a 200 acre park alongside the South of the River Thames.
It’s one of 80 Peace Pagodas around the world, monuments meant to inspire peace.
(It seems to have worked for Belinha.)
The London Peace Pagoda is 33.5m high and was built in 1985 by monks, nuns and Buddhist followers.
There is a large gilded bronze Buddha sculpture on each of the four sides of the monument…
And we posed in front of all of them. Shame mum couldn’t get a good picture of us in front of the fourth one…we blame the photographer.
We hope you enjoyed our visit to The London Peace Pagoda in Battersea Park?
Have a lovely (almost) Wordless Wednesday, Wags & Woofs from Belinha & Moleque!
