Win Tickets to Discover Dogs 2015

It’s competition time for London’s leading dog event of the year, Discover Dogs 2015.

For the first time this year, Discover Dogs will take place at Excel London on the 17th and 18th October 2015. Last year over 35,000 dog lovers came to the event to meet over 200 different dog breeds, watch the doggy displays or snap up a bargain at the stands selling all you could possibly imagine (and more) for your pooch.

The event aims to both entertain and educate, highlighting the importance of understanding the right breed for your lifestyle (see our Discover Dogs teaser event post for more on this), finding a good breeder or adopting.

There’s  also an exciting line up of four-legged displays and activities from the Temptation Tunnel to the first ever Canine Rugby World Cup Game! Check out the timetables for each day here:

The event makes for a great family day out as U12-s go free, the only thing to remember is Fido will need to stay at home unless he’s been one of the lucky few who’ve been given their own ‘paw’ pass invitation by the Kennel Club.

I would just love to win two tickets to Discover Dogs 2015. I went with my husband in 2002 and since then he has passed with cancer. His son is eleven and we own a Spinone and it was in large part due to Discover Dogs that we chose such a wonderful breed.

Sadly my 15 year springer has cancer and we are treasuring the borrowed time we have together. The thought of being without my best friend is sole destroying. I want to look at breed options as I can’t bear the thought of not having a dog to make a house a home and enjoy long Wilkie and time together.

My 2 dog loving friends have been pestering me to go to this show which is conveniently close to us. This will be a great event as my other half is a dog lover himself and has been pestering me wanting to get a dog! I am not convinced but this would be a great place to meet all sorts of lovely breeds!

Words cannot express how delighted I am that my wife has finally been declared no longer allergic to dogs! This makes both of us extremely happy as we’ve been waiting for what feels like a millennium to be able to own one together. I bought my first dog when I was fourteen. A beautiful rough collie, she lived until she was sixteen and ever since I’ve been desperately hoping we’ll be in a situation to be able to buy another. This year, for the first time, our wish comes true, and that’s why we’re heading to Discover Dogs. I can barely wait!
