A townhouse, dedicated to dogs, has just arrived in Chelsea, and we can tell you after visiting on the weekend that it is fabulous! You’ll find the Love My Human Townhouse (or LMH Townhouse as it’s known) on the King’s Road, just a few doors down from the much-loved Love My Human Chelsea pet boutique and grooming salon of the same name.

Founder of Love My Human Chelsea and now the Townhouse, Jenny and her business partner Joe, have set out to create a unique space that is the first of its kind for dogs in London, and they have succeeded. With a super dog-friendly café and deli on the ground floor, a crèche and daycare for dogs on the second and a suite of complementary therapy rooms on the third, the Love My Human Townhouse really does have it all!
Jenny told us that the townhouse was inspired by her beloved Tibetan terrier Alfie who sadly passed away last year.

Dedicated to Alfie’s memory, the townhouse is a place pups can come to relax with their humans and benefit from a range of complementary therapies, all in a space designed for dogs. We think Alfie would be very pleased that the townhouse now exists for pups to enjoy, here’s why…
The Love My Human Townhouse Dog-friendly Café Will Get Tails Wagging…
In our opinion, the dog-friendly café at the Love My Human Townhouse has just set the bar very high for how dog-friendly a café really is. This is not just a café where dogs are allowed; oh no, this is a café designed for dogs first and foremost.

As soon as pups arrive, they are offered a comfy dog bed (with different bed sizes available) which they can use on the floor or be seated next to you. We usually have to bring our own travel dog bed as Belinha hates to sit on a cold floor, so this was definitely great to see.

Rings that you can clip your dog’s lead into are thoughtfully placed at each table under the banquette seating or on the wall. And, of course, water is brought to the table for you and your dog immediately. It definitely felt like the VIPooch treatment, and that was before we had even read the all-important dog menu!

The dog menu was definitely the highlight of our visit for Belinha. As well as the pupcakes and puppaccinos madam has now come to expect when taken out for a treat, there were so many delicious delights to choose from on the dog menu.

On the weekends, dogs can tuck into Organic Scrambled Eggs, Beef Meatballs & Courgetti, Cod & Sweet Potato Fish Cakes or Beef Burgers with Sweet Potato, Lettuce & Tomato. Belinha decided to sample the fish cakes and beef meatballs, and surprisingly as she’s not a big fan of fish, she couldn’t get enough of them!

The dog menu has been devised by dog nutritionist Anna Webb and implemented by London restaurateurs Joe and Annabelle Coleiro. It is not only delicious but healthy for dogs with ingredients chosen especially for their nutritional benefits.

Even the gorgeous coconut cream PupCup Puppuccinos come sprinkled with goji berries or blueberry powder for a shot of antioxidants. They also come with some tasty cookies on top, so it’s very much a treat.

If your dog is a fan of pupcakes, then they’ll love the choice of flavours on offer in the front window of the LMH Townhouse. Pups can even sample a slice of doggy carrot cake which looked so good, I nearly brought one for myself without realising it was the doggy cake section.

And you can always get more goodies to take home from the dog deli…

The human menu is also delicious and perfect for brunch or even afternoon tea. And just in case you had any doubts, our visit to the Love My Human Townhouse Dog-friendly Café gets a 10/10. We will definitely be visiting again.

Canine Complementary Treatments At The Townhouse

Jenny kindly gave us a tour of the five complementary therapy rooms for dogs on the third floor, where you’ll be able to book your pup in for a host of treatments such as Massage Therapy, Reiki, Red Laser Therapy, Canine Acupuncture and Nutrition consultations.
The therapies sound amazing, especially for dogs that might need some extra TLC, are going through an illness, or just need a boost in their senior years. And being able to book a treatment for your dog whilst you relax in the café downstairs where they can join you afterwards, is very appealing. Then there’s the option of a groom at Love My Human Chelsea just down the road too so it’s like a city spa day for dogs with some chill time thrown in for the humans too.

All in all, the Love My Human Townhouse really is a much-needed first for London dogs. Personally, I can’t wait for Belinha to try a massage or acupuncture to give her a boost followed by some more of those delicious meals from the doggy menu.
Doggy Daycare With A Difference

Between the dog-friendly café on the ground floor and the therapy rooms on the third is a doggy crèche and daycare with a difference. For many of us, our dogs are like children and the Love My Human Townhouse crèche is like the doggy house you wish they had. Intimate and beautifully designed, the daycare will welcome a small number of dogs for daycare where we have no doubt that they will be thoroughly spoilt. All the doggy carers will be certified to ensure each dog receives an enriching experience during their time at the townhouse.

As well as being air-conditioned, four-legged daycare customers can soon enjoy the roof terrace (which will soon be fitted out with astroturf) for some fresh air. And if pups need some time to themselves, there’s a quiet room for some doggy downtime too.

Love My Human Townhouse ‘Impawtant’ Info

Where: You’ll find the Love My Human Townhouse at 330 King’s Road, SW3 5UR, and it is literally just a few doors down from Love My Human Chelsea if you fancy a spot of shopping before or after for your pup too. As with anything that Love My Human founder Jenny does, the townhouse is beautifully decorated and many of the townhouse features are upcycled, making them even more special.

When: The LMH Townhouse Dog-friendly Café is open weekdays from 08:00 to 18:00, Saturday from 09:00-18:00 and Sunday from 10:00-17:00.
Reservations: You can book a table on Resy.com – there are some tables available each day for walk-ins but we would recommend booking. The café space has been organised to accommodate one dog per human, but if you do have more than one dog, then get in touch with the Love My Human Townhouse, and they will do their best to accommodate you and your pups.

Complementary Therapies: You can request to book your pup one of the complementary therapies on the LMH Townhouse website. The therapy rooms are on the third floor so if your dog has trouble with stairs, do bear that in mind. Also, you will need to get consent from your vet before your pup gets their treatment.
The Dog-friendly Factor: Dog beds, treats, a dedicated dog menu, and the chance to indulge your dog with one of the therapies on offer make the Love My Townhouse a must-visit for the capital’s canines who want to be pampered from head to paw in our opinion.
