Rupert and Frank have picked some great spots across Enfield and they can’t wait to show you around, so let’s get to know this adorable pair and their favourite places on their dog-friendly Enfield tour…

Please introduce yourselves:

We’re four (Rupert) and five (Frank). We spend our days playing, eating, walking, snoozing, and meeting up with our mummies friend’s dogs, as they run a platform called Pooches & Prams (@poochesandprams on insta). Pooches and Prams is all things dogs and kids so there is always lots of fun stuff going on for us to be involved in.

What’s your favourite London Park and why?

We love Grovelands Park in Winchmore Hill. It has a beautiful pond, a great woodland walk, a playground for our hooman siblings. Our mummies also run a free community walk in the park once a month for parents with dogs and children as part of the Pooches & Prams group which is always fun as we get to meet lots of other doggies.

Tell us a bit about yourselves?

Rupert: I’m a fawn pug who loves chicken and cuddles. I came to live with my mum and dad when I was a puppy and we’ve been having lots of fun ever since. Mum used to take me to work with her which was great, I’d go on the tube and the train and gets lots of fuss. Since my hooman brother came along we are around our home area more, which is just as fun, as we get to spend all day hanging out and going on little adventures. The great thing about where we live is there are lots of things to do, but we also have the lush countryside on our doorstep which is great for walks.

Frank: I’m a brindle French Bulldog who loves peanut butter and playing with balls. I live with my mum, dad and two hooman sisters, one of them loves to play tug of war with me which is just the best and the other one is only little still so she just gives me cute smiles and lets me snuggle up next to her. I love my little family, and they love me lots too. Mum always makes me lots of homemade treats and I was even the ring bearer when she married dad which was pretty cool.

Dog-friendly Enfield - Claud W Dennis 3

Why do you like Claud W Dennis / what makes it special as a dog-friendly venue?

Our mummies love their coffee and apparently this place does really great coffee. Often with coffee shops, they only allow us outside but here we can go inside as well! There are delicious pastries that annoyingly we are never allowed to try but we occasionally get a little treat from one of the staff which makes us happy.

If one of your doggie buddies is coming to visit from out of the area, this is an easy place to meet as it is right by Southgate tube.

Name: Power of Health
Address: 7 Heddon Ct Parade, Cockfosters Road, Barnet EN4 0DB

Dog-friendly Enfield - Power of Health 2

Why do you like Power of Health / what makes it special as a dog-friendly venue?

Our mummies say they love the juices here, they are super healthy and organic and make them really happy. There’s lots of space inside so we can have a mooch around whilst they wait for their juice, and if it’s nice we sit at the tables outside which is fun as we always get lots of fuss from passers-by.

Great for a treat with the kids as there are lots of delicious cakes and some that are refined sugar-free.

Address: Forty Hall, Forty Hill, Enfield, EN2 9HA

Dog-friendly Enfleid - Nice Green Cafe 4

Why do you like the Nice Green Café at Forty Hall / what makes it special as a dog-friendly venue?

We love coming for a walk at Forty Hall, there are so many places for us to run around, beautiful open spaces and a gorgeous duck pond. There is also a pretty walled garden, where we have to be on the lead but that’s fine as there are lots of lovely flowers to look at. Once we’ve had our walk we head to the café for a drink and a sit-down. Our hooman siblings often have a little bit of lunch and we have a snooze after all our exercise.

Name: The Salisbury Arms
Address: Hoppers Rd, Winchmore Hill, London N21 3NP

Dog-friendly Enfield - The Salisbury Arms 2

Why do you like The Salisbury Arms?

It’s a big pub so there’s lots of space and there are lots of other dogs that come along too. Our dads say the beer is good and our mummies say the food is delicious. We like it because there is a big jar of dog treats when you walk in and they bring us over nice freshwater.

Great in the summer when we can all sit outside in the courtyard, but equally cosy in the winter by the fire.
