This past week has been a big week for Chelsea, not only did it play host to the annual floral spectacular that is Chelsea in Bloom but the new pet lifestyle brand Love My Human opened its doors on the King’s Road to London dogs (and cats). The latter is obviously the more important news for London dogs so more on that in a moment.
Naturally, we couldn’t resist stopping by Chelsea in Bloom which is just one beautiful photo opportunity after another around Sloane Square, Kings Road, Pavillion Road and more.
Sadly we didn’t have time to get around it all but did manage to capture a few shots that sum up the spirit of the free floral art show that Londoners love. Turns out dogs are quite the hit at Chelsea in Bloom as we found out by people wanting to pose with the pups…
After soaking up the fabulous floral displays it was time for some (four-legged) shopping so we headed down to the far end of the King’s Road to get our first look at pet lifestyle brand Love My Human’s new store. This is not the only store for London’s four-legged friends on/just off the King’s Road (Purplebone and Pet Pavillion are close by) but we certainly think Love My Human is the most impressive, let’s see why…
What We Loved About London’s New Pet Lifestyle Brand Love My Human
From the moment you walk into Love My Human, it’s like stepping into an absolute treasure trove of fabulously stylish goodies for dogs, cats and humans. The decor is welcoming and tasteful whilst the wall art is definitely fun and eye-catching.
We were really pleased to see stylish brands you don’t typically see stocked in physical stores in London (only online) such as See Scout Sleep, Cloud 7 and Edition 12 as well as our good friends and rescue advocates Beautiful Joes adorning one of the fabulous displays.
Humans weren’t forgotten and Love My Human is definitely the place I will be heading when I need to buy a gift for the dog or cat lover in my life. The Off The Leash mugs made me chuckle (as Rupert Fawcett’s cartoons always do), definitely on my to-buy list for the next time I visit.
Downstairs is the Love My Human pet grooming parlour and this is not just any grooming parlour, oh no.
Firstly, the waiting area for the humans is as leafy and zen as any human spa. Secondly, the pet grooming area (for dogs AND cats) is spacious and well designed with lots of beautiful bespoke touches. Last but definitely not least, there is a chill-out room complete with armchairs and mood lighting for pets to relax in post groom!
Belinha made a beeline for this room and I am not surprised in the slightest. What a delightful and thoughtful addition to the whole grooming experience.
It’s clear that Jenny, the human behind Love My Human, has put a tremendous amount of thought into every little detail for the store. Jenny’s background is in fashion and it shows. If you add that to the principle of design things how you think your pet would like them to be….the end result is the rather fabulous Love My Human.
Which in case you hadn’t guessed, gets a firm paws up from us (and four-legged customer Cyborg).
