My Dog Friendly London By Pops The Sausage | East London

This week we are headed East for the next My Dog Friendly London – London by London Dogs feature with none other than East London’s very own diva, Pops the Sausage. If you’ve met Pops you’ll know that she may be pint-sized but there’s a whole lot of sass in this small sausage!

Plus she’s always better dressed than many humans I know (including myself) and likes to make sure she’s always looking her best by checking herself out in any mirror she can find. Believe me, I’ve personally seen this and it’s hilarious.

Pops has paw picked some fabulous destinations in Hackney and Shoreditch for her My Dog Friendly London mini-guide to dog friendly East London, so let’s get the scoop…

Please introduce yourself:

I’m Pops, I’m  6 years young and I live in Hackney Wick, East London.

What’s your favourite London Park and why?

Victoria Park. It’s right on my doorstep so I like to pretend it just my very own massive garden. There are lots of parts to explore, as well as some hidden spots where you can escape the crowds and get some much-needed peace and quiet.

Tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m a super sassy sausage East End Queen with a taste for fashion and tummy rubs. I was rescued from a puppy farm 3 years ago where I was used for breeding and kept in awful conditions. I now live a life of luxury and have slowly built my confidence from 0 – 10000!

Rags to riches bitches, but don’t be fooled by the rocks that I got, I’m still Pops from the block!

Now I’m living my best life with my human mumma who takes me everywhere. If I’m not invited, she’s not interested!

Why do you like Dreambags JaguarShoes/ what makes it special as a dog friendly venue?

This place is very unique, a bar come art haven for the creatives of East london. Their coffee is awesome, the cocktails even better and the staff always make a fuss and bring me my own iced water bowl and treats. The interior and art work changes every few months so it always feels fresh. Hipster vibes with the most lovely atmosphere.

Head there after a visit to Columbia Road Flower Market on Sunday mornings (also dog friendly). They serve the most delicious Allpress coffee and fresh pastries, if you look super cute and ask the barista nicely, they will even make you your very own mini puppacino!

Pops is adorable – just look in her eyes and we can see a beautiful soul. “I was rescued from a puppy farm 3 years ago where I was used for breeding and kept in awful conditions. I now live a life of luxury and have slowly built my confidence from 0 – 10000!” So glad that Pops got away from that awful place and has a wonderful mama showering her with love. Like Pops, Chloe’s parents only visit places where she is welcome – thumb up for some absolutely beautiful (and manicured) gardens of many Historic Houses (thumb down for most National Trust gardens!).

Isn’t Pops such a character! She’s definitely fallen on her paws now that’s for sure. Sounds like Chloe has fabulous parents too! Teresa x
