#FeedFidoFresh. That’s what it’s all about this weekend at The Curious Canine Kitchen, a pop-up restaurant for dogs which will be coming to Bethnal Green on April 11th and 12th. The pop-up will be the first of its kind in Britain to serve (literally) high-end, freshly prepared, organic canine cuisine to our four-legged friends. Not only will the event be pawsome for our pooches, it’s all for a good cause as 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Amazon Cares, a street dogs (and cats) charity in Iquitos, Peru.
The Curious Canine Kitchen Menu – Canines
Lucky canine’s will be treated to a five-course drink paired set menu. The menu will include doggy delights such as Textures of Tripe with seaweed and kale puree, crispy Paddywack with reishi mushroom flaxseed cream and coconut & blueberry chia pudding with gluten-free cinnamon quinoa dog biscuits. Drinks on offer will be Alkaline water, beef consommé and coconut water. To ensure dogs leave the dinner table feeling refreshed, the menu will be finished off with a piquant marrowbone known for its teeth cleaning properties and a Fresh Breath herbal tea tonic to aid digestion.
Pooches will of course be served in style by waiters and will receive a special goody bag with recipes and samples from sponsors including brands such as Diet D’Og and Woof&Brew. There will also be a Fido photo booth for posing pooches (and their humans).
The Curious Canine Kitchen Menu – Humans
Don’t worry humans, there’s something fresh and tasty on the menu for you too! You can sample a ‘Rawsome Tasting Menu’ with items such as gazpacho raw soup, golden quinoa, coconut and mango salad as well as avocado, blueberry and chia cheesecake. These will feature some of the same superfoods as in the canine menu (spirulina, flaxseed, coconut oil and chia). For once it’s allowed for Humans and Hounds to be eating the same foods!
A Dogs Dinner All for a Good Cause
The event is amazingly good value at £20 for a dog and human entry, extra human places can be bought (subject to availability) for £8 per head. There will be two sittings each day (1-3pm and 3-5pm) and booking is essential via the event website. If you’re unable to attend the event, tickets can also be purchased for the online ‘Paw-fect Prize Draw’ with pawsome canine and human prizes to be won.
The Curious Canine Kitchen is only popping up for two days, April 11th and 12th at One Studio, 1 Teesdale Street, E2 6GF. Book your pooch a spot now, not only will you and your pooch be getting a healthy dogs dinner but all proceeds go to help Amazon Cares!
