Now that we’ve wistfully said goodbye to Summer, it’s time to put on the wellies and embrace Autumn in all it’s glory. And what better way to kick off the next season’s London Dog Events than with a Howl-o-Ween spooky special. We suspect there are still more howl-o-ween events yet to be announced and we’ll be adding them to our ‘London Dog Events And Things To Do October’ round-up when they are but there are some ‘spooktacular’ ones on the line-up already!

Of course, it’s not just all about Halloween events for hounds this month, there are plenty of other pawsome things to do too.
So doggy diaries at the ready here’s what’s on for London dogs in October, and don’t forget, if you prefer to see the events in regular chronological date order, you can see this on our London Dog Events Calendar…

Larry a rescue from the Cayman Islands will be hosting a Puppy Picnic on Eel Brook Common in Fulham.
Anyone with a dog is welcome to join, just bring along some treats for both humans and hounds. Larry also suggests bringing some drinks for the humans that will make them act stupid (we suspect that will happen) and some toys for the dogs to err…slobber on.
This picnic sounds like it will be entertaining to say the least.
Dates:
- Sunday 18th August
- Sunday 6th October
If you have any questions about the Puppy Picnic on Eel Brook Common, please contact the main man, Larry on insta.

Pups Paint & Prosecco – What more do you want on a Saturday afternoon? Join Paws & Pause with Portrait Pals for a pup-painting extravaganza. In this fun, relaxed art class, you will have the opportunity to practice your drawing skills using live dog models.
Our space is well equipped with tables and drawing boards, and we provide all materials (including pens, pencils, paper, and watercolours). You are welcome to bring your own supplies if you prefer. We will have dogs on site for you to draw, but we encourage well-behaved dogs to come along for the afternoon!*
What the class will look like
Over this two-hour drawing session, you will review the basics of figure drawing, practice 2-min pose sketches, and paint pet portraits using watercolour and ink. The gestural drawing portion of our class will be focused on the live animal, whereas the portrait section will be done from photographs taken on the spot. Should you choose to draw your own dog who is not with you on the day, feel free to bring photographs for your reference!
Everything included!
You will be able to take home the supplies you use, which include:
x1 set of watercolours + paintbrush
x1 Tombow brush pen
x1 2B pencil
Also, no afternoon drawing session would be complete without:
x2 glasses of Prosecco
All of which is included in the ticket price! Tickets are £40, get yours here.

Event Details
Get ready for one of South London’s most loved dog events as Streatham Doggy Splash Day returns this Autumn, for not one but THREE Doggy Splash Days!
The first is on Saturday 19th September. Buttercup Bus will be on site serving up their fresh crepes, while the monthly market is also running at The Rookery opposite, and the Inkspot Brewery has its Shutters Up event.
On Sunday 27th September we have our Disco Edition splash day – just slightly livelier than normal, with our dog-friendly DJs spinning up some beats for your beagles and choons for your chihuahuas. Shiny disco accessories are very welcome (both of you) to sparklify your photo opportunities.
And Bavarian Boy is back, with German sausages, beer and more for the humans.
Then on Saturday 3rd October it’s our Oktoberfest Edition – again with a great food menu and some proper German beer from Bavarian Boy. There will be appropriate live music too to encourage the Oktoberfest spirit – so why not bring your Schnauzer for a Schnitzel and your Cavalier for a Bier!
All of them are really the same Doggy Splash Day at heart though, centred on a huge pool of some of the splashiest water available – suitable for everydog, whether they want a little paddle in the shallows or to spend hours charging through the middle of it.
There will also be treats, snacks, puppuccinos and more from Bailey’s Canine Kitchen and The Mud Room.
And a ball pit to rummage in, and bubbles to chase, and loads of tennis balls to fetch, and you can even have a beer! Everything for good girls and boys!
The day runs across four overlapping sessions of two and a quarter hours each, timed to keep things busy without getting too crowded (the organisers may briefly close the gate to new arrivals if the pool gets full).
All proceeds go to Friends of Streatham Common, the registered charity keeping the pool running into the 2027 season and beyond.

Here’s our reel about the Doggy Splash Day at Streatham Common last year to see what it’s all about (and the pool has had a colourful makeover since then).

Dog Yoga Class: if you love dogs and yoga you are the paw-fect candidate to join this yoga session hosted by the UK founder of DOGA.
This is a 90 min yoga class in which you’ll get the chance to bond with YOUR DOG through yoga meditation, breathing and some awesome yoga / Doga poses.
Doga was a humorous discovery by innovative yoga expert, Mahny Djahanguiri, created when she explored the interconnectedness between her and Robbie (her pooch).
Doga has taken the world by storm with Mahny and Robbie showing off their skills on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, The Alan Titchmarsh Show, BBC News and CBS News.
In this class, you will engage in relaxing and invigorating yoga practice alongside your dog, while bonding and strengthening your relationship. You’ll learn new yoga positions and practices that you can take home and experience with your pooch every day! This class is a one of a kind activity that your dog will love too!
The benefits of Doga are listed with excellent reasoning. Increasing mindfulness, trust, deep sleep and reducing anxiety for both you and your dog can lead to a nurturing, fulfilling life together.
Beginner yoga students are welcome! The session runs for 90 minutes, it’s a Hatha / kundalini class in which you can interact with your dog or someone else’s!
Doga is open to everybody, whether you have a dog or not however should non dog owners want to purchase a ticket we cannot guarantee a dog. If you do bring your dog along, then they must be social, vaccinated neutered and insured.
Dog Yoga Class T&C’s / Health & Safety:
- All guests are required to bring their own yoga mat.
- All owners will need to send an updated scan of vaccination / health certificate plus short bio / description of each dog to doga@dogamahny.co.uk Owners will be asked to sign a waiver at the beginning of each class
- All participants must arrive 15 earlier to prepare for their doggie date.
- Large and small dogs are suitable for Doga. (Please note: All dogs must be social, neutered and vaccinated, puppies over 6 months and happy to be off lead in an enclosed enviroment with new dogs)
- This is a family event, therefore, children are welcome to bring their family dog. Dogs will be off lead for the duration of the 90 min session.

The Stratford in East London is excited to welcome DOGA as part of a monthly wellness programme, led by Mahny Djahanguiri the UK and Europe’s leading founder and author of DOGA – Yoga for you and your Dog.
The class is designed to help support dog owners and their dogs to destress through the ancient art of Yoga. Her yoga system is carefully designed to work on the central nervous system on both owner and dog alike.
Over the years she has worked with various dog rescue charities and psychologists and introduced her method to a multitude of customers who suffer stress and anxiety or finding it difficult to manage their dogs.
DOGA works on the natural bond we have with nature and restores the balance between mind and body with the support and aid of dogs and yoga.
The class takes place in the Wellness Studio at The Stratford hotel. We kindly ask all dog owners to complete a waiver form before arrival (this will be emailed to all attendees). All levels of yoga practise are welcome. Equipment is provided, but please note there are no available changing rooms or showers.

Doggy Sunday at Hampstead Gaucho is back at the beginning of each month! The people at Gaucho are more than a little bit dog-obsessed and wanted to create a truly dog-friendly dining experience in London, so created Doggy Sunday at Gaucho Hampstead. On the first Sunday of every month, book a table under your dog’s name quoting ‘Dog Sunday’ and the red carpet will be rolled out for all arriving pups – treats and good times are had by all, hounds and humans alike!
At each Doggy Sunday, selected dog brands will be invited to take over our terrace to entertain all the four-legged guests. Please book under your dog’s name quoting Dog Sunday at Gaucho Hampstead.
For when you are snout and about, all week at Hampstead and Richmond your dog can enjoy our Muttropolitan Menu with Woof & Brew’s paw-secco, Bottomsniffer beer or Lapdog Souchong tea on offer to quench your Canine’s thirst along with a whole host of healthy and homemade treats to be enjoyed.

One of London’s best rooftop bars, Savage Garden, has gone barking mad by introducing the special monthly ‘Savage Garden Rooftop Dog Brunch’ due to popular demand.
*** Updated, read our review of the Savage Garden Dog Brunch here ***
Dubbed as London’s wildest sky-high destination, Savage Garden, brings decadent décor, jaw-dropping views, dramatic cocktails and savage menus to Tower Hill. Located atop the DoubleTree by Hilton, the ethos is focused on the unexpected. Two terraces provide 360-degree views of the London skyline including The Shard, Tower of London, The Gherkin and St. Paul’s Cathedral.
Guests have a wide variety of savagely good brunch dishes to choose from off the a la carte menu that is as far removed from traditional brunch items as possible. Panko chicken cutlet, bacon and radish salad, cranberry, caper, sriracha mayo and a sunny-side fried egg, as well as bourbon-glazed beef short rib, charred sourdough and poached eggs’, are tipped to be some of the favourites.
Cocktails are abundant, with bloody mary ‘red snappers’ and zesty mimosas all making an appearance. Pooches will receive a Savage pupcake baked with delicious dog-friendly ingredients.
Bring your pooch to this sky-high destination and enjoy a day out with your best friend. This brunch is definitely not going to the dogs.
And if you don’t have four legs, you can still come and enjoy the usual Play Brunch that is on offer and make some new furry friends.
The Savage Garden Rooftop Dog Brunch takes place from 12pm until 4pm with reservations at 12pm, 1pm or 2pm. To reserve your table visit www.savagegarden.co.uk or call 020 7709 1043.

Event Details
At Fetch and Follow a daily dog walk is an integral part of our routine come sun, rain and even snow. Having a dog opens a world of opportunity every day with a new adventure every time you head out together. With this in mind, we are excited to announce that for our October walk (which will take place on Sunday 13th October) we will be walking from Finsbury Park via the Parkland walk through to Alexandra Palace.
Lasting for two hours, dogs and their owners will get together for an intimate walk where we will be joined by the team from YOKO, who will be discussing nutritional foods for dogs and the benefits a healthy, balanced diet can have on your dog’s wellbeing.
The Parkland Walk is a 2.5-mile linear green pedestrian and cycle route in London, which follows the course of the railway line that used to run between Finsbury Park and Alexandra Palace, through Stroud Green, Crouch End, Highgate and Muswell Hill.
About YOKO
YOKO is a dog lifestyle brand providing a conscious way to live – offering basic fundamentals about being healthy and treating a dog with respect as an equal. This healthy and creative lifestyle has grown out of a consciousness of us as owners. They adopted Yoko from the Humane Society NYC in 2015 after she was severely malnourished leading to her breaking two legs. After a long recovery process and a move back to London they became increasingly conscious about how a healthy nutritious diet and lifestyle could aid the recovery process, not only for humans but for dogs too. Out of this honest need of investigating dog nutrition, ‘YOKO a healthy dog lifestyle’ was born, where Yoko is the ambassador of the brand.
Sunday 13th October | 10 am Finsbury Park
Tickets are £5 each and a ticket is for 1 dog and two people only, book yours here. You will be sent an email from the Fetch & Follow team confirming your space along with further details on the walk.

Judy Film Synopsis:
An amazing performance from Renée Zellweger anchors this assured and moving biopic of one of the greatest and most tragically flawed of Hollywood superstars. In the winter of 1968, showbiz legend Judy Garland (Zellweger) arrived in London to perform a five-week, sold-out run at the West End’s The Talk of the Town. Thirty years previously her role in the WIZARD OF OZ had shot her to instant stardom. Her voice might have weakened but its dramatic intensity had only grown. As she rehearses for her show, argues with management, charms musicians and reminisces with friends and adoring fans, her wit and warmth shine through. Meanwhile, her dreams of love are undimmed as she embarks on a whirlwind romance with Mickey Deans, her soon-to-be fifth husband. Featuring some of her best-known songs, JUDY celebrates the voice and the capacity for love of one of the world’s greatest entertainers. Contains scenes of drug misuse and infrequent strong language.
Always a popular event, tickets are £16.90 for adults and are available here.
Picturehouse Central Dog-friendly Screening Impawtent Info
Well-behaved dogs and their friendly owners (one dog per adult) are welcome at select film screenings which usually takes place on Sunday morning. It’s a great way for dog owners to enjoy cinema without having to leave their best friend at home and to meet fellow dog-owning film fans.
Water is always available and all dogs sit on a blanketed seat so as to avoid any hairs or mess. After the event, the screen is thoroughly cleaned making sure our furry friends leave no trace behind. To further cater to cinema-loving pooches, the volume is dipped as they have superhero hearing powers.
Should a dog become unruly or adversely affect the enjoyment of others, the Manager needs to intervene and, if necessary, request that the owner and the dog leave the premises. No refund will be offered.
