London’s dogs dressed up in their spooky Sunday best last weekend for the annual All Dogs Matter Halloween Walk & Dog Show in Hampstead, North London.

The event started with an eerie walk through the woods of Hampstead Heath, ending at the Spaniards Inn for the eagerly awaited Halloween dog show. Judges Michelle Collins (Coronation Street, Eastenders), Stefanie Marsh (The Times), Ann (Beautiful Joes) and Genesta (Fetch & Follow) had the gruesomely difficult task of picking the winners.

Whether they were Witches or Wizards, Lions or Spiders, Pumpkins or Pirates; hundreds of dogs came dressed to impress. This was our first attempt at canine fancy dress (and I’m not sure Belinha was too enamoured with the idea), but for others clearly it was not. Fang-tastically creative costumes like the Flying Terrier Ghost Train and the Mummy took home some of the top prizes and we can see why.

The aptly named Buffy and Pumpkin, both All Dogs Matter dogs who are looking for a home, joined in the fun too.

It was a spine-chillingly superb event from London Dog Rescue & Re-homing Charity All Dogs Matter, whose events always guarantee a fantastic day out for humans and pooches alike, as well as raising much-needed funds for dogs in need.
