These days we all need something to smile about, wouldn’t you agree? So when our pals over at PAAW House and pup ambassador Burly Bear Pom asked if we would like to collaborate on the Dog Stories 2020 series, we said absolutely!
So what is the Dog Stories 2020 series all about? Burly Bear Pom who you may have met at one of London’s dog events explains…

“As much as I love getting out and about its clear that we all need to keep a low profile and spend time indoors right now, so I’ve had a little idea which we can all take part in for charity. As PAAW’s chief ambassador and a Dogvine addict, I am recruiting pups to put together a book of fun stories which we will publish later this year in aid of Wild at Heart Foundation and StreetVet…”

So a chance to share your story and be in a book to support two pawsome charities? We say paws up to that!
How to participate in Dog Stories 2020
If you and your human are interested, here’s how you can be part of Dog Stories 2020…
Choose one of the four categories below and send us your story of about 300 words plus some good quality photos to bring your story to life…
- Favourite places to visit – share your favourite dog-friendly places to hang out in so we have something to look forward to visiting or any adventures you love, be it walking in the woods, in the park or on the beach.
- Human-animal bond/emotional support – tell us about what your dog means to you, the bond you have formed, or how he or she keeps you happy and improves your mental health.
- Funny experiences with your pup – has your dog been expelled from puppy school? Or maybe you’ve crossed your fingers that they would be on best behaviour only to have them pee on the red carpet at an event (we speak from experience on that one).
- Favourite games and toys – tell us your stories about what you like to get up to indoors (especially now in is the new out) or how you give your humans the runaround…
The series kicked off with a story about the special bond between Kratu the Rescue Dog (best known for his rule-breaking agility antics at Crufts), and his owner Tess – read Kratu and Tess’s story here.
Stories will be published over the next few weeks/months on PAAW Magazine and The Dogvine (depending on where they best fit) and we hope they will help put a smile on your face in these strange times.
Once life gets back to normal, published stories will be collated into a book that (paws crossed) will take pride of place on many coffee tables across the UK.
Oh and that’s not all! After so long without any pup parties, there will be a PAAW House x The Dogvine charity party to celebrate the book launch with contributors invited to attend as VIP guests!
We’ve got our first story in the Dog Stories 2020 series coming on The Dogvine very soon so watch out for that. In the meantime, you can send your stories to hello@thedogvine.com or burlybear@paaw.house.
And if you have any questions or if you need a helping paw in putting your story together, then get in touch with those too.
