The UK’s biggest anti-puppy farming event Pup Aid 2018 is back bigger and better than before!

Now in its eight year and fifth in Primrose Hill, Pup Aid 2018 will once again be in the leafy doggy paradise of north London’s Primrose Hill, part of The Royal Parks, and promises a jam-packed day of fun for all the family – and our faithful four-legged friends – with trade stalls, delicious fresh food, music and more.

This very special day will once again give you, the dog-loving public, the golden opportunity to help raise awareness about the UK’s cruel puppy farming trade by attending this amazing celebrity judged fun dog show.

Charity Dog Walk In Battersea Park September edition, get tails wagging for charity! The Mason’s Arms Charity Dog Walk is back on Saturday September 1st!

Support two great charities: Battersea dogs & cats home and Shooting Star Chase! Meet next to the Pear Tree Cafe at 11:00am with your furry friend. We ask for a £5 donation and as a thank you, your pooch will get plenty of water and treats. Humans get a choice of non-alcoholic beverage or pint of Frontier Lager or a Prosecco upon return to The Mason’s Arms.

The World’s Most Anticipated Dog Festival Is Back. Ay Carumba! Back for the third year running the team behind Haus of Chihuahuas brings you the spectacular Mexican themed summer Fest of Chihuahuas Mexican Fiesta.

Fest of Chihuahuas Mexican Fiesta: To celebrate their home country a Mexican theme will be prominent throughout the day with lots of fun activities for the humans like the messy burrito eating challenge and music and entertainment from the dazzling Mariachi band and colourful folkloric dancers.

Join the Sighthound Sundays group for their regularly monthly walk, this one being the Sighthound Sundays Walk September edition on Sunday 2nd September.

It’s a pretty simple format, walk, talk, sniff & scamper followed by a picnic/hang/zoomie for those free to socialise after.

All dogs in the Sighthound family are welcome on the Sighthound Sundays Walk plus any little companion pals and is open to humans who are also looking to test drive a sighthound too.

On the Sighthound Sundays Walk September edition, the group will be collecting for Harley’s Heroes a canine cancer charity who help out families with a a ‘smile in a box’ care package and financial support for those less able to meet the costs of treatment of dogs with cancer. This charity has been chosen in support of Jake one of the group dogs who is undergoing treatment for cancer currently.

The Radlett Dog Show is a Fun Dog Show in support of Hearing Dog for Deaf People with many events to enter from Handsomest Lad and Bad Hair Day to Best Rescue and Best Child Handler on Sunday 2nd September 2018.

There will also be fun events including Musical Sit and Egg and Spoon plus demonstrations including Agility and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. There will also be plenty of food, drink and stalls, live music, Raffle, Have-a-go Agility and much more.

The Radlett Dog Show is in aid of the fantastic dog charity ‘Hearing Dogs’ who will also be there to perform an exciting dog display.

All categories will be placed 1st-5th and those placed will receive a rosette for their pooch. The pinnacle of the day is Best in Show where the runner up and winner will be presented a beautiful bouquet from Lilac& Willows the florists in Battlers Green Farm, plus winning rosettes for their pooches.

The Dog Olympix 2018 is a fantastic idea for a fundraiser for an Outdoor Drinking Water Fountain for people and dogs in Whittington Park, London N19. £6K is needed to fund the fountain and labour costs. Islington council are making an application on behalf of this and other parks to the London Mayor’s outdoor water drinking fund, so The Dog Olympix 2018 is looking to raise as much as it can in one day towards a fountain for Whittington Park.

The Dog Olympix 2018 is on the 8th September 2018 and consists of three games:
Catch the Ball
Agility and Obedience course
The Relay

Anyone with a dog can register and enter. Dogs and owners can come along any Sunday in Whittington Park at 11am for an informal training session and to have a go  / try out the course and skills needed. See The Dog Olympix 2018 website for more info: http://archwaydogs.uk/dogolympix/

Semifinals
Sunday 2nd September @ 11am in Whittington park. This will be an informal session on a smaller circuit than the finals on 2nd September. Anyone can enter and join in the practice sessions and semifinals. However, only 20 dogs can be chosen to take part in the games on 8th September.

To be selected, you must meet the standard of working your dog off lead for the games.  Come along on Sundays mornings to prepare and practise and register to take part. You can also email to  register your interest. There will be a nominal registration fee to take part in the games.

Sue Evans from The Alpha Dog Club will be the judge for the 3 games along with Highgate vet Allan Rapley. The Blue cross will have a medic van there to health check dogs and offer free microchipping. All dogs must be on leads.

Doga Mahny are running a one-off Dog Yoga taster session for you and your Dog in this Doga Class at Pomona’s on September 9th. The class is designed for newcomers – owners and dogs to experience the benefits of practicing yoga together. Join Doga Mahny for a 90 min yoga class in which you’ll get the chance to bond with the dogs through yoga meditation, breathing and some awesome yoga / Doga poses.

In the Doga Class at Pomona’s, you will engage in relaxing and invigorating yoga practice alongside your dog, while bonding and strengthening your relationship. You’ll learn new yoga positions and practices that you can take home and experience with your pooch every day! This class is a one of a kind activity that your dog will love too!

The benefits of Doga are listed with excellent reasoning. Increasing mindfulness, trust, deep sleep and reducing anxiety for both you and your dog can lead to a nurturing, fulfilling life together.

Beginner yoga students are welcome! The session runs for 90 minutes, it’s a Hatha / kundalini class in which you can interact with your dog or someone else’s! If you do bring your dog along, then they must be social, vaccinated neutered and insured.

Situated on design haven’s Redchurch Street and open from the 14th to 23rd September, the Dogs + Design by Fetch & Follow pop-up will be anything but your average ‘pet shop’ and is aimed at catering to discerning urbanites, whose dog enjoys a lifestyle that is an extension of their own. While Dogs + Design by Fetch & Follow is not part of the official London Design Festival programme, this concept dog shop will sit in the heart of the Shoreditch Design Triangle and promises pet-themed features, which play into the celebration and promotion of London. as the design capital of the world. The pawsome Dog & Human Paddle Boarding on The Thames experience is back for 2018!

The trip is for up to 12 people + dogs. The session lasts for 3hrs starting from Active 360 by Kew Bridge – paddling out & back with the tide, finishing at Kew!

The cost of each dog/human team is £55 including instruction. The price also includes the rental of a Ruffwear Dog life-jacket if required!

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear. You shouldn’t fall in but bring a towel just in case! Let us know if you would like to purchase a Ruffwear life jacket for your dog and we will order one for you within 48 hours.

Have you heard the news? The Hoxton Hotel in Shoreditch is going dog-friendly and having two pawsome events to celebrate! First up is the Hox Hounds Bark n Breakfast at The Hoxton to spice up your weekend walk!

After meeting at The Hoxton, the group will head off on a group walkies around Lincoln Inn Fields. There will be breakfast bags to snack on for the humans whilst the hounds run around with their new pals. Don’t worry, doggos aren’t left out and will get their paws on a Hox Hounds goodie bag full of treats from Lily’s Kitchen, Fetch and Follow, Aesop Animal and more!

Hox Hounds Pooch Portraits at The Hoxton: The Hoxton Hotel is going dog friendly from September your furry four-legged friends will be able to join you for sleepovers at The Hox (hence ‘the Hox Hounds, get it?).

To celebrate there’s going to be a pop-up Pooch Portrait Studio at The Hoxton, Shoreditch. London based pet photographer, Rachel Oates who will be on hand to capture photographs of your four-legged best friend in her unique and fabulous style.

All Hox Hounds getting a Pooch Portrait will also get a goodie bag full of tasty treats to take home from the lovely brands such as Lily’s Kitchen, Fetch and Follow and more.

The Crossbreed Cafe Pop-Up!

A Crossbreed Cafe pop-up is coming to London on 30th September from 11:30-14:30 celebrating the uniqueness of our four-legged friends who are a wooferful mix of breeds, with a special shout-out to rescue doggos. So whether you’re a muttley mix, cavapoo or labradoodledoo (or any other mix), this event is for YOU!

The Crossbreed Cafe pop-up organised by Paws for Coffee in collaboration with The Dogvine and The Rockster, will be the FIRST EVER London pop-up cafe celebrating crossbreeds and rescues where dogs and humans can come together, enjoy delicious doggy treats and make lots of new (furry) friends during what promises to be an absolutely pawsome doggy day out!

On the Crossbreed Cafe pop-up menu, dogs will be served the famous Paws for Coffee puppuccinos and treats whilst humans can enjoy the scrumptious coffee and cake Paws for Coffee is also known for. All dogs attending will get a fabulous goody bag to take home too!

The Crossbreed Cafe will take place at Paws for Coffee in Sheen, just a short distance from Richmond Park (Sheen Gate), so perfect for a walk in the park before or after the event.

CROSSBREED CAFE POP-UP DOG SHOW

Pups can put their best paw forwards in the Crossbreed Cafe Dog Show with rosettes and prizes to be won in three categories: Handsomest Male, Prettiest Female and Golden Oldie. The Dog Show will take place in each session and entry is just £2 per category and it’s all for a good cause…

GIVING BACK…RESCUE DOGS ROCK!

Dogs attending the Crossbreed Cafe will have the chance to nominate a deserving rescue charity to win an absolutely fantastic ‘The Rockster’ super food donation to help feed pups in need. Plus all profits from the Crossbreed Cafe will be donated to the Paws for Happiness charity and one of the nominated rescue charities.

Puppy Brunch Outdoor Cinema continues for September at The Exhibit Balham with screenings of The Fox and the Hound on September 9th and September 30th. Puppy Brunch Outdoor Cinema kicks off with an 11am brunch followed by 1:30pm screening. For the dogs, there will be complimentary bottomless doggy treats.

This is an exclusive screening in the outdoor cinema in the Garden Terrace for humans and their pups.

The Fox and the Hound | Film Synopsis
