Crinkit Dog Toy for Tough Chewers – Review and Giveaway

Zigoo Crinkit Dog Toy

I’m always on the lookout for a tough and durable toy as Moleque has a tendency to dispatch most of the toys I buy to the (ever-growing) toy graveyard. He loves toys (especially anything that makes a noise), so I keep buying them…and he keeps destroying them. Although this may be emotionally rewarding for Moleque, it’s not very financially rewarding for me!

So when the folks over at Wishbox USA asked if we’d like to try some of their toys and I saw the magic words ‘Our very durable material allows tough chewers to play with this interactive toy as a chew toy as well as a treat dispenser’ in the product info, it was definitely time to put another toy to the ‘Moleque Test’.

Zigoo Crinkit Dog Toy

The Zigoo Crinkit dog toy hails all the way from the good ol’ USA, literally. Wishbox USA import products from small companies that make great products locally in the US to the UK and Europe. The Crinkit is an eco-friendly interactive toy made up of a plastic water bottle on the inside and a protective TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) covering on the outside. The good news is that not only is TPE durable, recyclable and BPA free (yay!) but it floats too!

I don’t normally let Moleque play with water bottles (even though he likes them) as he quickly ends up ripping them and I’m worried he will cut himself on the plastic. Well, the Crinkit definitely gets around this problem and is great for dogs that like to play with water bottles. When your dog chews on the Crinkit, they get the satisfying noise of chewing on the plastic water bottle but as it’s protected, it lasts for ages and there’s no risk of them cutting themselves.

Moleque and the Crinkit Dog Toy

When I gave it to him I was still sceptical to see whether the Crinkit would really pass the ‘Moleque Test’. Well, he’s had it for a couple of months now and it’s become his go-to-toy to choose from the toy basket and definitely helps keep him occupied and stimulated.

And miraculously, it’s still in one piece. Moleque has chewed it, chased it and tried to destroy it, all to no avail as the Crinkit is still going strong. Here it is in action…

In fact, in terms of wear and tear, apart from getting a bit grubby (you can wash it), I can’t see any which I’m really surprised about. I haven’t needed to swap the bottle out yet but apparently this process can be helped along with some soap and water when the time comes.

The Crinkit can also be used as a treat dispenser (we do love a good multi-purpose toy) and as mentioned earlier, it floats so is a great toy for dogs that like to swim. However, given that Moleque is more of a paddler and I’ve had more than one dog toy float off into the distance as he looks on from the edge of the water, I’m not yet ready to wave good-bye to the Crinkit so we haven’t tested that.

The Crinkit definitely gets the ‘paws up’ from Moleque (and The Dogvine).

The Crinkit Dog Toy Recommended

The Crinkit dog toy is available in Blue, Green, Orange or Pink and comes in two sizes (we tried the large):

  • Small – £9.99 (for dogs under 10 kg)
  • Large – £14.99 (for dogs over 10 kg)

A bark of advice….supervised play is recommended when your dog plays with the Crinkit as with any toy!

My dogs would love to try out this toy as our mastiff cross loves crunching plastic bottles but has cut her mouth before so have had to stop her. We also look after dogs and puppies who love to chew and destroy so would get well used here.

‘I would love a Crinket Toy, it looks MASSIVE and indestructible! My toys always end up being stolen away from me by all my foster friends or doggy pals… (I have the best toys so I guess I should share!) BUT this looks like the perfect size for ME and no one else would be able to get their tiny chops around it to steal it from me! Yes please!’ From Nordle x

Think my pug would love this, as he used to absolutely love playing with plastic bottles, however with recently having an ulcer in each eye (although this wasn’t the reason) it isn’t worth the risk! He his is now 2 Years old but still loves to chew things, so this maybe just the item he needs to stop him chewing the things he shouldn’t be chewing!! Xxx

I have two fur babies who would very much enjoy play fighting over this. Milo (Beagle) and Max (Cocker Spaniel). They’re always trying to steal my bottled water so with this they’d have their own!
