‘Tis the season to be giving…and I’m not just talking about presents. Since adopting my own rescue dogs and becoming involved with rescue charities, I try to go out of my way to buy from brands that give back. Of course I have to like what they’re selling, but if they’re a brand that gives back in some way then they definitely get the paws up from us.
So, for those who haven’t yet finished their Christmas shopping or even started it like me, here’s our round up of 13 wooftastic brands that give back and help dogs in need when you shop with them. Doesn’t hurt that you’ll feel much better about all the shopping you’re doing too.
So, in no particular order of pawsomeness, here they are…
1 – Found My Animal
Found My Animal hails from New York and is ALL about promoting animal adoption. So much so that each of the beautiful individually stamped tags on their products (such as marine-grade rope collars, leads, harnesses and collapsible water bowls), represent the number of animals helped so far. ALL profits go to their associated dog rescue and adoption centres in New York so your pooch can be seriously stylish and you can feel good about it. Ranging from £25 – £55, available in the UK from Lead The Walk.
2 – Beautiful Joes
Beautiful Joes liver treats have to be our all time favourite treat. In terms of brands that give back, these guys really do with their ‘One for One model’.
