The countdown to Christmas has begun, and things are feeling festive. Each year, Christmas Markets spring up across the country, transforming cities as part of a timeless winter tradition and London is no different. Whether it’s to shop Christmas gifts or sip warming mulled wine while soaking up the festive spirit, we wouldn’t consider going to a Christmas Market if our four-legged friends couldn’t come too. So with that in mind, we’ve put together a list of dog-friendly Christmas Markets in London where your dog can get into the festive spirit with you.

Dog-friendly Christmas Markets in London
First up are some of London’s famous Christmas Markets that welcome our four-legged friends to get festive alongside their humans (as long as pups are on a lead). Although not specifically dedicated to dogs – those are listed later in this guide, your pup will be welcome at all the Christmas Markets in London below.
Southbank Winter Market
A Christmas market with a gorgeous riverside view. Quaint wooden huts line the Southbank to entice you to shop and taste the delicious treats from the many food stalls who have spiced up their menus with festive fare. Perfect for combining a dog walk with a seasonal Southbank stroll.

When: From 08 November until the first week of January 2020. Sunday – Thursday 11am – 10pm // Friday – Saturday 11am – 11pm

Kingston Christmas Market
A traditional Christmas Town Market that will make you feel as if you’ve escaped the bustle of the capital, although you’ll only be 25 minutes into Zone 6 by train from London Waterloo. You’ll be spoilt for choice for gifts, mulled wine, mince pies and more at the beautifully decorated market huts so enjoy!

When: Until 24 December 2019 Sunday to Wednesday 10.00am to 6.00pm // Thursday – Saturday 10.00am – 8.00pm (all stalls) // From 26-31 December Bar and Food stalls only with the same opening times.

Christmas At Flat Iron Square
A firm favourite with London’s four-legged friends is Flat Iron Square – as featured in our guide to London’s Best Dog-friendly Street Food Markets and Halls.
And this Christmas sees the return of the Alpine Ski Lodge where humans and hounds can cosy up and enjoy street-food treats galore. There’s also the Alpine Doggo Style Market just for doggos on 08 December which is not to be missed (more on that in a moment).

Greenwich Market
Dog-friendly all year round and also featured in our guide to London’s Best Dog-friendly Street Food Markets and Halls, Greenwich Market is dog-friendly with sparkles on during December!
Opening late on Wednesdays, it’s the perfect place for a festive mid-week pit-stop with your pup.

Christmas By The River
With the city skyline as its backdrop, Christmas by the River is often called one of London’s prettiest Christmas Markets so well worth a visit with your pup. Christmas by the River promises over 70 stalls stretching along Queen’s Walk from London Bridge City Pier to The Scoop at More London with iconic views of Tower Bridge thrown in.
For 2019, the market has a vintage ski theme so blend in with human and hound Christmas jumpers, twinning is winning after all!

Winterland
A favourite amongst south-west London dog owners is Fulham’s Winterland, an Alpine ski lodge playground with an outdoor forest where well-behaved dogs are welcomed throughout.
For the first time this year, Winterland will be holding a Christmas Market in December where you can shop products from local businesses (including some doggy ones we’re told), sip on warming mulled wine or indulge in some delicious fondue while you shop. Christmas in Leicester Square
Set in the heart of central London, take a stroll amongst festive food and gift stalls set in authentic Bavarian-style wooden huts. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor market area but If visiting with your pup it’s probably wise to avoid peak tourist times.

When: From 08 November until 05 January 2020. Monday to Friday: 12pm to 10pm // Saturday & Sunday: 10am to 10pm

Winter Wonderland
London’s largest winter attraction, Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park is now in its 19th year. Dogs aren’t allowed on the rides or attractions (for obvious reasons) but are welcomed at the cafés, bars and festive stalls onsite (and there are plenty of those).
Please note – Winter Wonderland can get extremely busy (and noisy) on weekends so this may not be suitable for all dogs. If taking your dog, it’s best to visit during the week.

Doggo Style Alpine Christmas Market
Christmas at Flat Iron Square really goes to the dogs on 8 December when the Doggo Style Alpine Market takes over. Renowned for putting on a barkingly good doggy market at the best of times, the Alpine Christmas Market promises to be bigger and better than ever.
All the market stalls are dedicated to dogs, except the ones to keep the humans fed and watered that is. And the best part, ALL profits are donated to London Rescue & Rehoming Charity All Dogs Matter so high paws all round!

All Dogs Matter Santa Paws Christmas Fair
A long-standing favourite on the London Dog Events Calendar is the All Dogs Matter Santa Paws Christmas Fair. Expect dogs in Christmas jumpers galore, mulled wine and mince pies and even a festive ‘pawtrait’ grotto. Of course, all profits go directly to the rescue & rehoming Charity themselves, which is just fur-bulous.

Santa Paws Christmas Market
A newcomer to the London Christmas Markets scene is the Santa Paws Christmas Market. On the lineup are over 25 doggy brands and stalls in attendance, all ready to spoil our four-legged friends.
Plus pups can compete for most festive photo as Santa’s Best Little Helper on the day for an extra special treat from Santa Paws.
