If you have a rescue dog then Wunderdog Magazine is the independent magazine for rescue dogs and people who love them, that you will definitely want to read. Less magazine and more coffee table book, Wunderdog Magazine is filled with stunning pages of inspirational stories about rescue dogs and those that help them. And the latest issue stars our very own Belinha in a special ‘To Be A Dog In London’ feature, but more on that in a moment.
Put simply, this is a magazine that will warm your heart, especially with 2020 being the year that it has been. Written by fellow Londoner Nina May and inspired by her much-loved previous rescue dog Pippa, it’s not only an inspirational read but a beautiful one.
Each issue of the magazine is packed full of stories on more than 100 pages of matte paper, and you can see that an immense amount of love has gone into this collection of canine stories compiled by Nina and her current Romanian rescue dog Goldie.
Wunderdog has something for everyone. Read about rescue groups and organisations from all corners of the world, united by their desire to make a difference for stray dogs in their communities. Or discover dog brands doing good and be inspired by pup-influenced travel features, both close to home and farther afield for those future holiday plans.
And for such a unique magazine, Wunderdog is just £12 an issue or £22 for a yearly subscription, plus, 10% of the cover price of the magazine is donated to a selection of dog charities, just as you would expect.
Wunderdog Magazine – To Be A Dog In London
I’m incredibly proud to say that my very own special rescue dog Belinha features in issue 3. Belinha has a fabulous ten-page feature on ‘To Be A Dog In London’ sharing her top tips on where to go and how to have the best time exploring dog-friendly London.
It even includes a brilliant dog-friendly London Map so you and your pup can follow along!
For her feature, Belinha made sure to include something for all pups. Be it enjoying one of London’s pawsome parks, visiting London’s only dog-friendly indoor attraction or (being the food-loving girl she is) – a pitstop at one of London’s dog-friendly cafes/restaurants with their own doggy menu, before heading to the next place on the map.
When I think back to the day I spotted Belinha as a puppy in a favela in Rio de Janeiro, with a bad eye infection and her fur falling out, I could not be more proud of my girl now known as ‘the dog with the best ears in London’.
Of course, as a proud dog mama seeing her rescue dog in print, I’ve already bought several copies of issue 3 as Christmas gifts for myself. And thanks to the Wunderdog Christmas Gift Box and Bundle, I’ve also ticked off several of my Christmas presents for fellow dog-loving friends and family too.
