My Dog Friendly London By Pepper Chung The Schnauzer

Notting Hill is one of London’s legendary ‘cool’ neighbourhoods so when local resident Pepper Chung agreed to share his dog friendly London tips for the area we couldn’t wait to see where he would take us. There are such a colourful eclectic mix of places in Notting Hill that it’s no surprise that the selection of dog friendly places in the My Dog Friendly London by Pepper Chung guide have the same colourful je ne sais quoi.

Pepper Chung kindly took us on our own personal tour of Notting Hill and we loved meeting him! If you follow Pepper on Insta then you know he’s a popular little man and we very quickly became big fans of this gorgeous little guy.

Please introduce yourself:

Pepper: I’m Pepper Chung and I’m thirteen!

Teresa: If there was ever a dog that does not look or act his age it’s you Pepper! I was truly amazed how young and sprightly you are for your age, absolutely incredible!

What’s your favourite London Park and why?

Holland Park, because I love hanging out at the Dutch Garden!

Tell us a bit about yourself?

I was born and raised in different parts of London. My first visit to the beach was last year – at the tender age of 12! I absolutely loved it! I have a weird thing about wanting to say Hi to random strangers (sniffing their legs as they pass) and every dog I spot (near and far), and then losing interest as soon as they let me sniff them.

I also like waiting to get into people’s cars while they are parked on the road with no doors open – yes, just me standing there looking at the car door like a strange but adorable little boy. It gets more embarrassing when it’s some nice fancy car and someone is trying to get out of it while I just randomly want to get in at the same time!

Oh Pepper, you are are such a sweetheart! And you do love your cars…Pepper promptly tried to get in my car after our walk around Notting Hill. Belinha would have been very happy if you had come home with me I’m sure but your mum not so much.

Why do you like MAM / what makes it special as a dog friendly venue?

Mum took me there to get takeout thinking that I wasn’t allowed in. They immediately invited me in so Mum can dine in with me. It was like a mini date just the two of us. The food smells sensational, I get so crazy and excited every time I go in (remembering all the smells from the visits before)! Mum and Dad loveeeee their fish sauce wings, spicy dumplings and Vietnamese ice coffee!!!

Why do you like the The Westbourne/ what makes it special as a dog friendly venue?

Super dog friendly! They give me water every time I visit. Mum and Dad love having their Sunday Roast (beef to be precise!) there. I could sit at the back on the sofa or can sit in the main room and hang out with other local dogs who also frequent there with their family!

Very popular place in the area especially on a sunny day. Maybe worth booking a table on the weekends if you are more than 2-4 people. You can always give them a call and ask. We haven’t had to book yet, we’ve been lucky to find a table by just walking in.
