After a pawsome year of London Dog Events last year, 2017 is now upon us and for our first edition of What’s On Woofs this year (and those that like to plan ahead) we’ve got some doggy dates for your diaries. Don’t worry, there’ll be plenty more to come as our favourite London Dog Event hosts release their 2017 event dates but hot off the press, check out our round-up of London Dog Events 2017 to welcome in the year…
Sunday Social Brunch Doggy Edition – Sunday 15th January 2017
After a successful Doggy Social Brunch debut last year, The Narrow Boat in Islington are back with a second edition of their Doggy Brunch and will be again raising money for London Rescue & Rehoming Charity All Dogs Matter with the event. Come along and show your suppawt whether you’re a dog owner or just love dogs (and brunch).
Doggy Sunday – Monthly Starting 4th February 2017
Doggy Sunday at Gaucho Hampstead is a firm favourite on the London Dog Event Calendar for those that like to dine with their dog and dogs who like to dine in style. From the moment you book, it’s all about your four-legged friend. Table bookings are taken in your dog’s name and on the day a canine red carpet is rolled out to welcome all the pooches. Once inside, a special personalised doggy bowl and lots of delicious home-made treats await your dogs approval. Doggy Sunday is held on the first Sunday of the month throughout the year (excluding January and August).
All Dogs Matter Valentines Dog Walk – 12th February 2017
Share the love this Valentines Day on the All Dogs Matter Valentines Dog Walk on Hampstead Heath in aid of All Dogs Matter rescue dogs looking for homes. Back for the 7th year this event is always hugely popular and one not to miss. Great British Dog Walk – Saturday 29th April 2017
Get out and about with your pooch on the ‘Great British Dog Walk’ and raise funds for a well-deserving cause, Hearing Dogs For Deaf People. There are several events around the UK but the walk closest to London, takes place at the scenic Windsor Great Park with stunning views over Windsor Castle along the way. There is a choice of a 4km or 9km walk and lots of fun activities taking place on the day.
National Pet Show 2017 – Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th May 2017
The National Pet Show 2017 (previously known as the London Pet Show) will be back at ExCel London on 6 & 7 May and will be packed full of hundreds of different animals, amazing animal action displays and fun and informative talks and demonstrations. It’s the perfect opportunity for animal lovers of all ages to meet and learn about different types of animals with expert advice on hand. Plus there are lots of goodies and gadgets to buy for both you and your pet.
Muddy Dog Challenge 2017 Windsor – Saturday 20th May 2017
Get down and dirty for a good cause on the Muddy Dog Challenge, the UK’s first obstacle course for humans and dogs. Now in its third year, this event is proving to be a firm favourite with fitness fanatics and animal lovers alike. The event is raising funds to help the dogs and cats of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home and you can enter the 2.5km or 5km with your pet or alone. A minimum sponsorship of £100 is needed to take part.
Bring Your Dog To Work Day 2017 – Friday 23rd June 2017
The hugely popular ‘Bring Your Dog To Work Day‘ is back for 2017! Organised by Hownd and taking place on June 23rd this is one day you will definitely feel like going to the office as businesses from across the UK welcome their dog loving employees to bring their faithful four-legged friends into the workplace in aid of animal welfare charities.
DogFest 2017 – Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th June 2017
DogFest is back for another year, this time at Knebworth Hall in Herts. Hosted by Channel 4’s Supervet Noel Fitzpatrick, DogFest promises a fun-filled, action packed day out for you and your dog with doggie displays, activities, expert advice, shopping, music and much more.
Canary Woof Dog Show – Sunday 2nd July 2017
After being a barking success last year, The Canary Woof companion dog show is back for 2017 with lots of prizes to be won, demos and showcases – all part of the LIMEfest 2017 festivities.
Discover Dogs 2017 – Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd October 2017
To finish off our London Dog Events 2017 first edition round-up, is the popular Discover Dogs. The event is one of London’s biggest events on the canine calendar, welcoming over 34,000 visitors and 3,000 dogs over the two days of the show. Visitors to Discover Dogs can meet, greet and discover over 200 different breeds of dogs, get their paws on some great shopping and watch world-class displays and competitions.
